The die-casting department comprises nine fully automated working islands managed by a dedicated computer system which records the data associated with every single cycle in real time.
Each work island is composed by a die-casting machine (from300 to 1150 ton) , a methane gas-fuelled basin furnace, an automatic loader to taking the molten metal from the furnace to the die-casting machine, a vertical lubricator for atomising the release fluid on the die walls and and anthropomorphous robot to remove the piece from the mould and placing it in the special containers.Six of the nine working islands have an hydraulic press equipped to automatically clean up the accessory parts from the die cast particular.
From january the big news on the production cycle is represented by the installation of 2 new centralized melting furnace FTA 30/15 with a capacity of 3,000 kg of aluminum and a production capacity of 1,500 kg/h
The die casting department is the only unit that works for 24 hours without stop. This unit is composed by three rounds each consisting of a shift supervisor and four operators
